Red clover (Trifolium pretense):
Red clover is a hardy plant that can grow in numerous locations including Eastern Deciduous Forests and Tall Grass Prairies. It is an annual plant that develops during the spring and blooms in the summer or fall.
It is used commonly for aliments related to the throat, including whooping cough, cough, asthma, bronchitis, and sore throats. It is most commonly prepared in a herbal tea.
Red clover is considered to be one of the richest sources of the water-soluble chemical isoflavones.
