Elements in the Stars

Scientists sort out the atoms and molecular structures of objects both on earth and in space; however, scientists are unable to simply analyze space physically. Instead, they analyze space remotely with the aid of only light that telescopes passively receive. Each element and molecule has it's own unique signature and specific wavelengths of light making it possible to identify the atoms and compounds on earth and in the stars.
